The Ana Castillo Archives are housed at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Castillo donated the collection in June 1990. She was a Dissertation Fellow in the Chicano Studies Department at UC-Santa Barbara from 1989-1990. While there she worked on her collection of poetry, I Ask the Impossible and her collection of essays, Massacre of the Dreamers. Currently, the archives span from her college years and early activist work to the early 1990s.
